What listings are
Orrku listings are editorial content: original descriptions written by our team, presented alongside publicly available factual information (business name, address, phone, hours, category). Identifying a business by name to describe it factually is standard directory practice; the creative content is ours, the facts belong to no one.
What we never do
- Copy text from a business's website, Google, Yelp, or reviews.
- Use photos without our own license, the business's permission, or a valid Creative Commons/stock license — always with credit.
- Import ratings or reviews from other platforms.
- Display business logos without permission.
Corrections
Anyone — owner or customer — can flag an error via the "Suggest an edit" link on any listing. A person reviews every request, usually within 2 days.
Removal ("takedown")
A business can have its listing removed at any time, for any reason: use "Report this listing" on the listing page and choose removal. We honor removal requests within 48 hours — the listing is unpublished first, and any conversation happens after. If you prefer email over the form, the contact path is on the For businesses page.
Photos and permissions
If a photo appears on your listing, we either took it, you gave us permission, or it carries a license permitting our use (credited). To have any photo removed, use the same takedown path — same 48-hour commitment.
