What it does

• Fetches a business's own website when we're creating or re-verifying that business's Orrku listing.
• Reads structured data (schema.org), meta tags, and contact details to verify facts only: address, phone, hours, coordinates, social links.

What it never does

• Never copies your text — every Orrku description is written by a person.
• Never downloads your images.
• Never crawls beyond the page it was pointed at, and never follows links off your site.
• Never hits your site more than about once per second, with a 10-second timeout and a 2 MB cap.

It respects robots.txt

Disallow OrrkuBot (or everything) in your robots.txt and it won't fetch. We check before every request.
