About Orrku
Orrku is a local guide made the slow way: a person finds each business, checks the facts with them, and writes the listing from scratch. Nothing here is scraped, imported or syndicated from other platforms — if you read a sentence on Orrku, someone at Orrku wrote it.
What "verified" means
Every listing carries a "Verified {month year}" stamp. That's the last time a human confirmed the facts — hours, phone, address — against the business itself. When a listing goes stale, it gets re-checked or it comes down. A directory listing closed businesses loses all trust, so we'd rather have fewer listings than wrong ones.
How deals work
Every deal has a real end date or a stated schedule, confirmed with the business. Expired deals leave the site automatically. We don't take payment for deal placement — what you see is what's actually on.
No pay-to-play
Listings are free and editorial. Businesses can't buy their way in, buy better copy, or buy a higher position in search results. If we ever add labeled featured placement, search order and editorial copy will still never be for sale.
Where the data comes from
- Business facts are confirmed directly with each business, from their own website, or by visiting.
- Some location data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
- Photos are our own, used with the business's permission, or properly licensed — with credit.
- Descriptions are original Orrku editorial, always.
Corrections
Every listing has a "Suggest an edit" link. Businesses can request corrections or removal any time — removals are honored within 48 hours. See the listing policy or start at For businesses.
