The Snug Harbor has been right here since World War II when Frank Leight created a calm port in a storm where everyone could hang out, slurp a coke and chow a Zwiebel burger. After fleeing East Germany in 1954, Christa Rosenloecher landed at the Snug and started mixing malts for Frank. She eventually bought the place and turned it into one of the best neighborhood diners in Santa Monica. In the late 70’s C.J. Rudolph, who was just a kid at the time, had a dream that he was going to own The Snug. So periodically he’d stop in for a Hungry Man and say to Christa, “You ready to sell the place yet?” Finally, Christa said,”Sure.” So now it’s C.J.’s best little neighborhood diner in Santa Monica. He hopes you enjoy it!
