Upon seeing scores of people who would've never considered gun ownership before the pandemic and civil unrest, L.A. Progressive Shooters was founded as a non-intimidating and welcoming space for anyone to learn about firearms. Our work has been featured on TIME Magazine, CNN and The Guardian.
Tom Nguyen is a NRA, USCCA and DOJ certified Instructor & Range Safety Officer.
As a refugee who fled a war, Tom understands that guns can be triggering and have traumatic associations in many BIPOC communities. Tom is passionate about providing a non-judgmental, inclusive and comfortable space, where the most intimidated or marginalized communities can be educated and empowered to make the best decision for themselves to be safe and responsible with firearms.
