This Los Angeles burger joint, which opened in 1986, has a long history dating back to 1984, when the idea for the eatery originally emerged. The creators, brothers Cary and Duane Earle, painstakingly developed the plans, and by 1986, they were making hot dogs on the busy Venice Beach boardwalk. Inspired by their early years spent in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, where they enjoyed real New York hot dogs, the Earle brothers set out to introduce these flavours to the West Coast.
Some initially thought the brothers' goal was high, but their determination turned heads, and soon people were lining up along the pavement. Their first restaurant, located in the lively Crenshaw sector, opened its doors in 1992 as a result of the tremendous demand.
