About Chim!
Chim! means to taste in Thai. For a food lover like the owner Suthee, "chim" or "to taste" becomes his and his family lifestyle. They love to try all types of food and cook all types of food. With almost 20 years in food service industry, Suthee decided to go back to where it all started and moved back to Thailand. He opened his first restaurant in the beach city of Bangsaen, Thailand, called .5/6 which he brought the American ways to Thailand and it soon became the local's favorite. Chim! Thai Street Food is about bringing Thailand back to America. The lifestyle in Thailand is about quick, simple, and full of flavor. The street vendors are created because Thai people are always on the go, they can stop by a vendor and grab some Moo Yang with stick rice for breakfast and take off to work. Just like the Pasadena working people who would walk from their offices to find good eats, Suthee's vision is to bring these Thai Street Vendors to Pasadena.
