Why Become A Massage Therapist?
Years ago I started hiking and it eventually grew into trail running and then into running ultra-marathons but in the process I’ve had some setbacks and injuries. I searched for ways to overcome some of those setbacks and injuries and came across massage and learned about the benefits and ways of using massage to help recover, I put massage into practice and was surprised with the results and have always wanted to learn more.
In 2016 I was laid off and went from being an analyst to unemployed and used that setback as an opportunity to become a massage therapist. If it didn’t work out, at least I could learn about the body, its muscles, movements and functions and maybe apply them in my running. I started school with Healing Hands School of Holistic Health and became a Holistic Health Practitioner and began working as a California licensed massage therapist since 2018.
